When will my Weimaraner puppy stop growing?
And we have one problem with this wonderful dog. He eats socks. Literally eats them, and the either vomits them up, or poops them out. With three kids, it's hard to keep all socks under wraps. Any advice?
Just had a family meeting about socks, we are going to be super vigilant! Thanks for the advice!
Question 1: At about 6-8 months your pup will be "vertically" grown, and will fill out that frame at the 12 - 18 month point, depending on the dog.
Question 2: You need to be a lot more cautious about the socks. Eventually they will knot or twist, they will not be passed, and - if you're lucky - you'll spend 800 to 1000 dollars for the surgery bill to remove the intestinal blockage. If you're unlucky, you may lose your dog due to complications. Get this under control now by stopping this behavior for your dog's long term health.

Most dogs grow their full height with the 1st year, and will out in the 2nd. Have a family meeting, tell your kids to keep the socks out of the rooms the dog is in. The only way to get the dog to stop eating them is to not temp him or give him the opportunity to eat them.

we have a weimeraner and i can tell you, yours wont stop growin for a while. mine weighs 160 pounds.
about the socks, do somethin fast. its not good because one could git stuck somehwere inside of him and that wouldnt be good at all. if its bad enough it could kill him. try and keep that under control if at all possible…

He will stop growing when he is two years old. Get some bitter apple and make the socks taste bad. You can get it at a pet store.
