How Much More Will a 7 Month Old Weimaraner Grow?

I have a puppy that turns 7months old tomorrow. He is pretty tall but very slim. He weighs 62lbs now. I have friends with Weimies that think he will be about 85lbs. Does that sound right?

Rule of thumb states that at 7 months he should be about 75-80% of his adult size and weight… so 85# is pretty much right on the $$ but man that sounds heavy – is he tall?

Yep sounds about right they are big dogs, not like Rotts big but they are solid dogs. However big they are at 1 year of age is generally the biggest they will get. Of course they can gain more weight depending on how much exercise they get and how much you feed them.

I work at a Doggy Daycare Facility that also does Weim rescue. My daughter & son-in-law own (I should say are owned by) a 7 month old female Weim. She weighs 46#, will be smaller.
