How do I stop my 6 year old Weimaraner from chewing up the outside of my home?

She is chewing up anything plastic or wooden around the house. She has even started chewing the wood siding! She also digs holes like crazy.

She's BORED
Take her for a walk & spend some time with the poor ol' gal….

A gun. no im just joking that'd be horrible!!! (hahha). No but seriously i have no idea, just wanted to be the first one to say a gun cause i know there would have been more like that. try an electric fence like a foot from you house the whole way around your house and see what happens i guess. Get a camera, it might be funny

Try putting the hottest pepper sauce you can find on them. Also try growling in a low motherly voice its how their mother would tell them they were screwing up when they were a puppy. Theres also a show on Animal Planet that deals with this kind of thing watch it and see if they talk about your problem.

Try a spray bottle. Alot of dogs hate water, so when he's chewing on something spray him in the face and eventually he will understand if he chews he gets sprayed. I know this because my vet recommend it to me.

She loves it!! She would not love to do the house interior. Watch out for that siding it could be gone anytime!!

this might sound mean but it isn't…get 4 soda cans wrap them with contact paper so can't see the can…put 5 or 6 light weight washers in them…duct tape the top…when you catch her doing something that is not exceptable…THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT YOU MUST CATCH HER IN THE ACT….in your meanest voice saying NO NO NO…throwing these cans at her aiming at her rump…they will not hurt her but it will scare her and get her attention……it's the noise…THEN GO GET THE CANS TELLING HER GOOD GIRL SHOWING HER YOU LOVE HER……if she's smart all you'll need to do do is shake a can and she'll stop doing what ever she's doing..this is not a game….get her something that will challege her mind not just toys…..shes bored….give it a try ….i keep one by each door and also where i sit outside….goood luck

Get her something she is allowed to chew up and destroy, then spend some time playing with her to give her the idea. Old tyres, clean cardboard boxes, knotted rope, anything she can chew up. Dogs become destructive when they are bored and have nothing to do.
Its pointless trying to get her to stop before you've given her something positive to do to replace the unwanted behaviour.

She's bored and she's finding her own amusement.

You need to be playing with her, fetch is a good game. Also more exercise.

If left to find amusement for themselves dogs usually find it in ways we don't like.
