    No, no. Bora and …
No, no. Bora and Jetta are different like the night and the day. :) / If I’ll ever visit the US, I’ll take a look at those numbers. :) ) Tho’… I guess I got the answer to a question I’ve been having for some time. Allways wondered how do americans read the spedometer, since I knew the cars from Germany have it in kilometers. Dooh! They have factories in other parts of the world. :) )

Most you see in the …
Most you see in the US come from Mexico. Jetta’s and Beetles are made in Mexico….I think those two make up the majority here. I think a Bora is a Jetta, just under a different name. And the factory is huge with 10,000 plus workers. If you get close enough to read the VIN number of a Volkswagen, if it starts with at 3, then its from Mexico. With out looking suspicious, check em out in parking lots.

Most Weimaraners you see in the US were born in Mexico as well……just kiddin

    Most VW – I mean …
Most VW – I mean Golf, Polo, Jetta, Bora, Passat, Touareg, Touran, etc are manufactured in Germany (Detchland). Just like Audi, BMW and Mercedes. If there’s a little factory in Mexico doesn’t mean they all come from there. And we have deviated from the subject… witch was the Weimaraner. :)

    I was commenting …
I was commenting that the guy in the video was pronouncing the name of the dog correctly. I wasn’t “jumping like that”. Then you replied to my comment and started playing petty semantics.

Most VW (all Beetles) you see in the US were manufactured in Mexico. NAFTA

  5. h3l3na07 says:

    I was just telling …
I was just telling you how you really should pronounce VolksWaken (the car of the people). Don’t jump like that! And… what the ? Are saing that VW are produced in Mexico, or am I reading it wrong?

  6. jawewa says:

    Ok smarty pants. I …
Ok smarty pants. I am talking about how you pronounce it in ENGLISH, which is the language the guy in the video is speaking. You don’t pronounce the W as a V in Volkswagen in English. You don’t pronounce the V as an F in English either. Its a Volkswagen (which is actually…. hecho en México). The official AKC pronunciation of Weimaraner, is with the W sound, though it is acceptable to use the V sound if you want. Nevertheless, the guy in the video uses a correct pronunciation.

  7. h3l3na07 says:

    Actually, you would …
Actually, you would pronounce: FolksWagen. The V is pronounced F in Germany (witch is actually Deutchland).

My weimaraner is 11. The first year was terrible! But after 1 year, she is the greatest dogg ever had.

    We have a couple …
We have a couple Weims. They’re 3 and 7, and they are, at this point, couch potatoes during the day. But they do get about 45 minutes of running exercise every evening. I work from home and we’ve never had behavior problems. If you have someone who’s home with them all day they are much better behaved, because you interact with them during the day, they don’t get bored, and aren’t destructive. They’re definitely “velcro” dogs!

  10. jawewa says:

    Pronouncing it with …
Pronouncing it with a W is the correct way in English, though pronouncing with a V is also acceptable. Look it up. You don’t say VoltsVagen, you say VolksWagen.
Good info for newbies who are thinking about getting one, solely because of the way they look. They need to RUN at least 30 mins a day, especially when they are young. A walk on the leash won’t cut it. The best line he gave was, “if you don’t meet their energy needs, you can’t do anything with them.” I have a 2 yr old Weim.

    Pity you can’t say …
Pity you can’t say Weimaraner properly though. IT’s german so said with a V not a W.

Very good advice! Most people who cotact me for puppies don’t get it when I explain how high energy weims are. Thanks for the video!
